Helen away at Seattle. Much hacking of wikka. Having a great time. Even worked out how to slurp in code for disk files. Insanely good tool.
Call at 2pm from Dan Solomon. Much depression due to nil progress with SBIR. Together, we lamented for a while .
Bart called at 3pm. He’d found us an angel investor- someone willing to throw in $$$ to the project. I dumped everything, drove off in car to see this marvel. Great talk. Much excitement. Came away with a signed letter of offer for $X, conditional on similar funds being found elsewhere.
Came home, rang Dan Solomon to tell him. He’s on the east coast so I woke him up.But he got all excited and rang off saying he was going to wake up some other folks.
Then there was much tedium getting the letter scanned and sent to Dan. Printer mucking up. Downloaded drivers not working. Cruising round Portland late at night looking for somewhere that would scan the letter. Eventually, success (god bless Office Depot).
Helen came back from Seattle and found me drained like a dead battery. Like a kid who’d stayed too long at the fair, eating nothing but fairy floss, and was now suffering from sugar crash. I lay, comatosed on the couch all evening responding only to pizza.
