Don't forget those other 27,000 nukes

Now why do other countries want nukes? What scares them so much? Hmmm...

From the International Herald Tribune: "While it's desirable that the foreign ministers talk about Iran, they don't seem to devote any thought to the fact that there are still some 27,000 real nuclear weapons in the United States, Russia and other states, and that many of these are on hair-trigger alert."

What a coincidence to find your latest entry is on this suject. I just went to an exhibition yesterday, about the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at our local Taupo Museum. Very sad and sobering it was.
Horrific to think that so many nukes are still out there, and that some countries still want to produce them.
