iTerm under Mac has a neat feature: clover-I sends the keyboard strokes to
all tabs in the current window. so, to log in 3 times to the same account:
clover-N (new window)
clover-T (new tab)
clover-T (new tab)
clover-T (new tab)
clover-I
ssh timm@scant.org
<password>
great. BUT remember to turn off sending keyboard strokes to all tabs.
somehow (don't ask me how) i had editors going on the same file in
different tabs. AND (again, don't ask me how), the files started off at
different initial window locations. so the SAME edit actions were being
performed at DIFFERENT parts of the same file.
the result is a piece of text spaghetti that will take AGES to unravel.
and yes, its a paper due yesterday.
grrrr. sigh.
