I'm virtually married

Welcome to the 21st century. My wife is 3000 miles away and last night we drove round town doing some shopping.

I was in traffic and called her on the cell phone. For the next hour we chased some stationary. Office Depot was closed so I suggested we try Office Max. Darned if that was closed too so Helen suggested we tried K-mart. That worked but I didn't know what aisle things were in. Helen remembered that this stuff is usually behind that big shiny black sign. And it was. Meanwhile, we talked trash and home loans and what-about-that-thing-that-happened.

All in all, given that she wasn't actually there at the time, it was a pretty neat date.
